About Grimes Construction Company Inc.

Harold Grimes Jr. founded Grimes Construction Company in March of 1988 where he now serves as President of Operations. The company became incorparated in 1990. Prior to starting Grimes Construction Company Inc. Harold worked for a number of mining companies where he became superintendent for Cumberland Resources in 1978 and was then promoted to Vice President in 1979. He then joined Bluegrass Contracting in 1981. Where he was promoted to Vice President in 1986.

Harold has both the view of contractor and the owner's intrest while designing and planning projects which provides a valuable assest to both the firm and it's clients.

Harold has eight and half hours Occupational Safety and Health Training from the Kentucky Labor Cabinet. He has training in Construction Field Supervision from Construction Education Inc. He recieved his blasting license from the Commonwealth of Kentucky Department of Mines and Minerals. He also has training in Blast design and Safety from Atlas Powder Company. He is also trained in First Aid and Bloodborne Pathogens from Medic First Aid International Inc.

Matthew Grimes - Vice President of Operations

Matthew, Harold's son, started with the company in 1997 where he completed his first job as operator at the age of 15. Matthew was made Vice President of Operations for Grimes Construction Company Inc. in 2005 and currently serves as Foreman and Superintendent in the field.

Matthew has received training in First Aid and Bloodborne Pathogens from Medic First Aid International Inc, 30 hours of OSHA from the U.S. Department of Labor.
